“(Sykes) have a knack of producing very upbeat pop with some pretty handy guitar work. They have a very bright future ahead of them” - Indie Shuffle

South London three-piece SYKES make alternative pop that blends upbeat guitar music with infectious pop melodies and soft female vocals. Praised for having a “unique sound that pours from each member” - Indie Licks, the spectrum of SYKES collective influences are as far ranging as Daft Punk through to Fleetwood Mac.

Their 2013 self-released “Out Of Your hands EP” (produced by Cam Blackwood) was followed by a string of live dates throughout 2013 and early 2014 including big festivals such as Glastonbury and Bestival, tour support to The Wombats, Ryan Keen and American Hi Fi, as well playing their own shows in London venues including Ronnie Scotts, The Lexington, 100 club, Scala and National History Museum. Over in the US, SYKES were invited to showcase their music in various venues around Florida (Revolution Live). The band were then championed by Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman who invited them to play on the UK leg of Vans Warped Tour at Alexandra Palace.
