Lauren Harris

Lauren Harris (born 6 July 1984) is a British vocalist, who now resides in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris. She was discovered in a pub by Russ Ballard, who was unaware of who she was. Since moving to Los Angeles, Lauren has been working on her new Kingdom Of I pop-orientated musical project, under the watchful eye of industry veteran Andre Recke, who managed Hilary Duff's musical career. The debut EP of Lauren's new project was recorded in early 2013, and contains songs written by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Kara DiGuardia, who was a judge on American Idol, with renowned producer/songwriter Alain Johannes, who among other notable projects, worked with Dave Grohl on the award winning Sound City movie soundtrack.
The EP is due for release October 2013, and a tour will follow.

Career:
At the age of 17, Lauren quietly started singing in London pubs and one night she grabbed the attention of legendary British producer, artist and writer Russ Ballard (Roger Daltrey, Hot Chocolate, America, Elkie Brookes, John Waite). Ballard asked her to sing a demo for new material he was writing and this led Lauren to work with Multi-Grammy award winning writer/producer Tom McWilliams (Paulina Rubio, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada), and within just a few months, Lauren was touring Europe, playing such prestigious and iconic outdoor festivals such as the German Rock Am Ring and Rock Am Park as well as UK Download festivals, shows that thrust Lauren in front of 50,000 + people a night.
After proving herself during an in intensive 12 months of touring, Lauren was presented her biggest and most daunting challenge yet - supporting Iron Maiden on their world tour. During this tour, Lauren went down in history as the first ever woman ever to front a rock band at a major concert in India. On 25 October 2006, Lauren's life came full circle as she walked out in front of 20,000 people at the Budokan Arena in Japan, the very same venue where she took her first ever steps.
When the tour concluded, Lauren released her debut album entitled "Calm before the Storm", which was mixed by the legendary Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Black Country Communion, Iron Maiden), and continued to tour the UK and Europe in support of the release. Lauren touring the world for a second time supporting Iron Maiden on their historic and groundbreaking "FLIGHT 666" tour. Going down in history as one of the most successful rock tours in history, with the theatrically released documentary receiving critical acclaim and awards, the bands traveled the world in a custom Boeing 757 named "Ed Force One" by the fans. The tour reached South America, India, Japan,Argentina, US, Chile, Cuba, Australia and Europe in just a few weeks, instead of the usual months it would take to navigate the globe.
Lauren began working with legendary Vocal coach David Grant (Diana Ross, Linx, Rick Astley and Jaki Graham), who also worked with Will Young, Spice Girls, Charlotte Church and many others as vocal coach on the UK hit TV show Pop Idol. Lauren also began practicing stage presence with the Royal London Ballet tutors, and attending acting workshops, while opening the next chapter of her musical career by recording hernext project "Six Hour Sundown". With a contemporary style that further enhance Lauren's vocal ability, the band spent 2011 and 2012 touring, again exposing Lauren to hundreds of thousands more fans around Europe and the UK.
In mid-2012 Lauren moved to Los Angeles and the first product to see the light of day from the transatlantic migration is a new, musical project called Kingdom Of I. With tunes written by prolific song writer and famed producer Dave Stewart (Eurhythmics, Platinum Weird), Kara DioGuardi (Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Kylie Minogue) and American Idol judge for season 8 and 9, and John Shanks (Westlife, Take That, Bon Jovi), the irresistibly catchy tracks were recorded and produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell, Artic Monkeys, Jimmy Eat World, No Doubt),and who among other things, worked with the legendary Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Them Crooked Vultures), on the award winning "Sound City" soundtrack. The first single is an up tempo song entitled "Crying at the Disco", which fuses rock hooks, with dance and catchy pop. The single and video will be released in early October, 2013. A tour and full album release will follow in late 2013. Lauren has found time to hone her acting skills under the tutelage of acting expert Howard Fine. This has already led to Lauren enjoying a plethora of opportunities including a soon to be announced film documentary and corresponding TV series about Brazilian Music, as well as two new films produced by the legendary cinematographer and world renowned photographer Robert Dowling.
